Oilatum Cream soothes irritation and moisturises dry skin. It also coats the skin with a moisture-retaining film to protect it from further dryness.Oilatum Cream is suitable for all dry skin conditions and especially eczema, on areas of irritation caused by dermatitis, and to treat ichthyosis.It is particularly useful to rehydrate dry hands after washing or using water. Washing disturbs the normal acid condition of the skin, and reduces the sebum (or oil) level. Oilatum Cream helps restore the normal skin balance.It is convenient to carry with you in a handbag, case, school bag or pocket.
Please be aware that this product contains Liquid Paraffin which is highly flammable, keep away from open or gas fires or hobs and naked flames, including candles etc. and not to smoke when using these paraffin containing preparations. Bedding and clothing should be washed regularly (preferably daily) to minimise the build-up of impregnated paraffin although it may not be completely removed, unless it is washed at a high temperature as paraffin is invisible and can accumulate over time Avoid using this product if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients. Seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure how to use this product. If you experience irritation or any other unwanted effect ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Apply to the affected area and rub in well. Use as often as required, or as directed by your pharmacist of doctor. Oilatum Cream is especially effective if applied immediately after washing, to counteract the loss of essential oils from the skin. Hospital users should follow in-use procedures for topical products.
